How to Download an Image to an iPad

Downloading an image from a website to your iPad is an easy to way to save the pictures your friends post on Facebook or any other photo you discover on the internet. If you use iCloud to sync your photos, the saved images will instantly be available on all of your other Apple devices. The process is easy, and takes only a second.

Here’s how to download images to your iPad:

  1. From the home screen, tap Safari.

  2. Navigate to a website and find an image that you want to download to your iPad.

  3. Tap and hold your finger on the image until the menu shown below appears.

  4. Tap Add to Photos. The image is saved to your iPad.

  5. To verify that the image has been saved to your iPad, tap Photos from the home screen. You should see the image displayed in your photo library.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully downloaded the image to your iPad.
